Micki Evans, co-founder of PBL Path, is an author and consultant specializing in transformative, liberatory teaching practices. After being expelled from two high schools, she found purpose in an alternative school that embraced place-based learning (PbL), where the community became her classroom. Inspired by this approach, she became an educator dedicated to PbL as a tool for educational equity, cultural responsiveness, and student empowerment. Micki is known for delivering high-quality professional development in place-based and project-based learning with a focus on social justice, race and equity and practical ways to foster authentic school-community partnerships.

Erin Sanchez has spent the last twenty-five years working as a high school and continuing education teacher, curriculum writer, video producer and a national PbL coach.  Her commitment to supporting PbL as a vehicle to equitable teaching and learning practices is paramount in her professional experience.  Erin has taught in both self-directed and teacher directed PbL environments, and knows firsthand that PbL is a continuum, with each school/district having a unique vision and journey.
