About Lewis Eakins, Ph.D.

Dr. Lewis Eakins is the Vice President for Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness for the Ivy Tech Community College System in Indiana encompassing 19 campuses and 130,000 students. Dr. Eakins has over 40 years of law enforcement experience and has served for several years as a trainer and consultant with the U.S. Department of Education in the areas of K-12 Behavioral Intervention Teams and Emergency Operations planning.
