About Victor Small, Jr.

I was born in Hayward, CA and raised in Oakland and Stockton, CA. I graduated from CSU, Sacramento in 2007 with a BA in English Creative Writing and in 2014 with a Masters in Instructional Technology. I am currently working on a Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice at CSU, East Bay. I taught English in public schools and charters for 7 years and was a substitute teacher 4 years prior to that. I got involved with Restorative Justice while teaching in the classroom and have continued my practice of it as I’ve transferred into an administrator in Oakland Unified School District as well as San Francisco Unified School District. In 2017, myself and Demetrius Ball presented at the National Restorative Justice Conference that was held in Oakland, CA that year.
