FREE Resource: 10 Steps to Get You on the Right Path Towards Leading Equity

READ THE TRANSCRIPT

Today’s challenge for you today is to look at some of the programs that are offered at your school. Go beyond a general mindset of are these programs available to all students and consider if all students that would like to participate are able to. Is there transportation available for after school activities? Does your teaching staff look and reflect your student population? Is your parent communication and newsletters available in their native language? What are the costs associated for students to take the AP, ACT or SAT exams, college admissions applications and are all students able to afford these costs? As a school, are there barriers that can be removed to ensure everyone can access what your school has to offer?
